Berkeley Area Garden clubs will sponsor a Flower Show at Cypress Gardens -March 2-4, 2012.
The theme is “Berkeley's Natural Gem” and will celebrate Cypress Gardens 80th Anniversary with exhibits of Camellias, Daffodils and other flowering plants along with flower arrangements. Third Annual Japanese Iris Workshop

Sumter, South CarolinaCome spend the day in Sumter at the Swan Lake Iris Gardens. See all eight species of swans in the world and the most intensive collection of Japanese Iris in the United States. Join the Azalea Garden Club at the Alice Boyle Garden Center to immerse yourself in the study of the exotic Japanese Iris. The day will begin with a coffee welcome and home-made pastries. You will learn from Master Gardeners the history of Swan Lake Gardens, the horticulture of these prized species, and how to grow and nurture these beauties in your garden. A garden market will have Japanese Iris for purchase prior to the Iris Festival.
A gourmet luncheon will be prepared by the Azalea Garden Club topped off with a delicious English Trifle.
Mrs. Amanda McNulty, famed TV personality and Horticulture Agent at the Clemson Extension of Sumter, will be the luncheon speaker.Participants will tour Swan Lake Iris Gardens and see the Iris beds, the Chocolate and Braille Gardens; along with prized sculptures. Included in the workshop is a walking tour of three well known nearby private gardens on Swan Lake Drive.
The Azalea Garden Club is pleased to be able to share the beauty and serenity to garden enthusiasts. The workshop is limited to (50) participants in order to keep the workshop and tours intimate.
