Memorial Garden Activities

The Memorial Garden is located at the south-west corner of Lincoln and Calhoun Streets in Columbia, South Carolina, one block from the Governor’s Mansion. One of only three gardens in South Carolina listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the garden is owned by The Garden Club of South Carolina, Inc. The garden is offered to the public for visits and special events which include concerts and Veterans day commemorations, free of charge, and rentals as a beautiful, serene venue for weddings, receptions and other special events.

November 11, 2017-Veterans Day Commemoration Service

Over 150 guests and GCSC members attended the ceremoney. We were privileged  to have  SC GOVERNOR HENRY McMASTER along with MRS. McMASTER and SENATOR LINDSAY GRAHAM were our honored guests and speakers!  Our other honored guest speakers were Colonel Gail Wojtowicz, USAF, Retired  and Colonel Steve Vitali, USMC (Click on the Individual To view the Address given )The Fort Jackson Brass Band played several selections. Of course refreshments were served.
It was a beautiful day to spend a few moments honoring our Veterans who give so much to us!
 This event was free and open to the public.
