A. YEARBOOK AWARD

Send to District Director by September 1. Awarded for the best yearbook in each of these categories (excluding associate members): fewer than 20, 20-29, 30-44, 45-69, 70-99, and 100-300. First, second, third and honorable mention may be awarded.
B. PRESIDENT'S REPORT/COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S REPORT
Send to District Director by February 1. Awarded for the best club and the best council report in membership categories as listed above. Must include printed report form (copy is acceptable) along with narrative describing activities which resulted in the check marks on the form. No pictures or publicity.)
C. DISTRICT AWARDS
AWARDS, EXCEPT WHEN NOTED, SHOULD BE APPLIED FOR USING THE NEW APPLICATION FORM AS PER GCSC WEBSITE. (This is the same form that the NGC is using and we are under their umbrella.)

The following award applications must be received by February 1.
1. FRANCES L. ALLEN HORTICULTURE AWARD ($25.00)
Awarded to a club for the most trees planted by a club and its members. Seedling trees may not be included. Indicate if location is public or private. Include pictures and publicity. Donor: Shamrock Garden Club, IVA
2. WILLIAM GOULD, JR. AWARD ($25.00)
Awarded to an individual in the district receiving the most blue ribbons in the Horticulture Division of Standard Flower Shows. Documentation must accompany application: copy of the ribbons and identify the show and its date and the Judge who signed the ribbon. No narrative required. Donor: West Piedmont Director
3. LILLIAN A. PETERSON AWARD ($25.00)
Awarded to an individual receiving the most blue ribbons in the Artistic Division of Standard Flower Shows. Documentation must accompany application: copy of the ribbons, identify the show and its date, and the Judge who signed the ribbon. No narrative required.

4. DAISY HAMMOND AWARD ($25.00)
Awarded to a Junior/Intermediate Garden Club for outstanding participation in gardening objectives. It can be in any field, i.e. flower shows, gardening, birds, etc. Sponsoring club should submit application. Donor: Anderson Garden Club
5. HESSIE MORRAH HORTICULTURE AWARD ($25.00)
Awarded to the club submitting the best program on horticulture presented at a club meeting. Include a narrative of the program and pictures, if available. Donor: Lake and Hills Garden Club of Keowee Key
6. ESSIE WOOD CIVIC DEVELOPMENT AWARD ($25.00)
Awarded to a club or a group of clubs contributing the most in the field of Civic Development. Include before and after photos.
Donor: Greer Council
7. MARY MCPHAIL CONSERVATION AWARD ($25.00)
Awarded to a club for the most outstanding report of project, activity and/or promotion in the field of conservation. Donors: Pat Abercrombie and Irma Thrailkill
8. FRANCES HART AWARD FOR STATE OBJECTIVES ($25.00)... no application required
Awarded to the club that shows the best participation on the President's Report Form for contributions to state projects such as Blue Star Memorials, Memorial Garden, State Headquarters, New Life Members, Land Trust, Camp Wildwood, etc. Size of club will be considered, along with the contributions. Be sure to mark these items on report form. Donor: Sandra Harper
9. REBA WALL GARDEN THERAPY AWARD ($25.00)
Awarded to a club for the most outstanding project or activity in the area of Garden Therapy. Donor: Marsha Strong
10. NATIONAL GARDEN WEEK AWARD ($25.00)
Recognizes the club, group of clubs or council with the most outstanding project, exhibit, or activity to celebrate the National Garden Week.
Donor: Ruth McDonald
11. PLANTING NATIVE TREES AWARD ($30.00 First Place, $20 Second Place $10 Third Place)
Awarded to a club planting the most native trees in a public place during the year. Emphasis will be placed on native trees planted for celebrating Arbor Day or Earth Day. Species must be named in the application. Donor: Sandra Hamann
12. CITY, HIGHWAY, OR ROADSIDE BEAUTIFICATION AWARD ($25.00)
Recognizes the club, group of clubs, or council with the most outstanding project utilizing native trees, shrubs and/or flowers.
Donor: Greenville Council of Garden Clubs
