The East Sandhills District would welcome anyone interested in becoming a member of one of our garden clubs. There are 20 active garden clubs in our district. Each club is unique and special. If you just love planting, floral design, working with youth groups or being active in the area around you there is a garden club for you. You may contact your local garden club, the Garden Club of South Carolina, Inc. .

Jennifer McCutchen has been a member of the Bishopville Garden Club for over 25 years and she currently serves as their president. She is a Master Gardner and an Honorary Life Member of GCSC.
Jennifer has enjoyed serving as Co-Director for the East Sandhills District. She says that it has given her the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people that she now calls friends and she considers it an honor to now serve as District Director.
Jennifer is married to Perry McCutchen and they reside in Bishopville, South Carolina. They have two sons and a daughter-in-law and are eagerly awaiting the birth of their first grandchild in October 2017. Jennifer and her husband enjoy spending time with their family, antiquing and traveling all around to garden centers and going on garden tours.
Co-Director – Radine P. Tate
Radine P. Tate has been a member of the Azalea Home and Garden Club, Florence, SC for over twenty-three years. As soon as she became a member she was placed in the position of Secretary. Radine has also served as Treasurer and eventually President, where she served two consecutive terms. As President she worked closely with the City of Florence in maintaining and beautifying the Azalea Home and Garden Club Park. She also was instrumental in arranging for the Club to work collaboratively with Florence School District One on many projects.
Radine is also a member of the Florence Garden Club Council and currently serves as the Treasurer while working with the Council on various projects in the community.
At a young age, Radine worked with her parents in their vegetable garden and still continues to produce vegetables in her raised bed garden for her own table. She also enjoys her many house plants and has an interest in floral design. She would like to become a Master Gardener.
Radine is married to William (Bill) Tate and they reside in Effingham, SC. They have two daughters, one son-in-law and are the proud grandparents of two granddaughters. Radine and Bill enjoy spending time with family, traveling and visiting botanical gardens.
