The Coastal District is one of seven geographic districts within the Garden Club of South Carolina, Inc. Currently there are 3 councils and 23 Federated clubs in the Coastal District. The District includes all or portions of Horry, Marion, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Williamsburg and Berkeley Counties. There is one District Meeting in March each year. This meeting is hosted by a club, group of clubs or council on a rotational basis. The rotation for 2016 is Dillon and 2017 is Georgetown.

Director, Linda Brown Siceloff

Linda Brown Siceloff is a native South Carolinian, born and
continues to lives in Little River, S.C.Linda She graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a degree in Education and a degree in Business.

In addition to being a  life member of the Garden Club of SC, SAR and National Garden Club Inc., she is a Master Gardener Certified by Clemson University.  And she is a certified Landscape Design Consultant and a member of the Landscape Design Consultant Council.

She served on the GCSC Board 2013-2015 as Coastal Co-Director and Youth Awards Chairman.  Linda is a member of the Driftwood Garden Club in North Myrtle Beach and a former president. She enjoys her community and civic involvement in numerous organizations.  She currently serves on the City of North Myrtle Beach Beautification Board and a “Keep America Beautiful” affiliate, serves on the Vereen Memorial Historical Gardens Board and Village of Little River Board.

Linda is an active life member of First Baptist Church of Little River.  She enjoys traveling and the love of her life is gardening.

 

Co-Director, Allyson McCoy HirshAllyson Hirsh

Allyson Hirsh is honored to serve as Co-Director of the Coastal District of the Garden Club of South Carolina. A life long love of flora and fauna began as a child on visits with her grand parents to their South Carolina farm. Grandmother was a Garden Club of South Carolina member and so is Mom today. Allyson also serves as president of the Myrtle Beach Garden Club. She enjoys gardening at home as well as visiting Botanical Gardens around the world. Allyson is a volunteer on the Flower Committee at the First Methodist Church.
