The theme for the 2011-2013 GCSC administration is “Initiate, Collaborate, Celebrate” which is designed to be a springboard for garden clubs across the state of South Carolina to continue to initiate projects beneficial to their communities, to recruit the assistance of other agencies and to celebrate and share their accomplishments by applying for awards. One exciting project is “Good To Grow”, a statewide initiative encouraging clubs to become involved as mentors in developing schoolyard gardens exploring the benefits of gardening for sustenance.
